Poetry

WALT:use different types of speech to create a dimante poem.

I learned...that they have one topic at the start and the opposite noun at the end.

I achieved my goal because ...I used lots of different ideas.

Here is an example of my learning...

Year 4 Sleepover

Something I enjoyed was playing foxes and hounds because in the first round we didn't get found.

One challenge I had was trying to find a good place to hide I achieved it because we worked together.

Something I learned  about myself was that I could work together with others and find a place to hide.

I surprised myself when we didn't get found.

Athletics

I am learning different athletics skills.

I learned how to take of on one foot and land on two in long jump.

I achieved my goal because I tried really hard and did the right thing.

Next time I will pull my arms back to get further in long jump 2017.

My Mihi

WALT: introduce ourselves in Maori

I learned how to say the words correctly. Here are my two best sentences: Tena Koutou No Otautahi ahau and: Ko Mrs Baker toku kaiako.

I achieved my goal because I learned to say my Mihi with my eyes closed.

Next time I will pronounce my words slower.

Reading

WALT: Make a conclusion or assumption

I learned that Tim didn't like his mums new because it was house was to clean and new.

I achieved my goal because I used pictures to figure out what it meant.

Next time I will use more word clues to figure out what it means.
