City Trip

What was interesting? Something that was really interesting was in the art gallery there were moving sculptures E.g witch dance was a metal that flinging around in the air.

Where did you go and what did you do? One of the things that we had to do was a city walk and we had a sheet that had pictures on it that we had to find E.g there was a picture of a water wheel and we had to find that.

What did you learn? I learnt about some of the tools that the maori used in there early settlement E.g their backpacks were made out of flax.

Athletics

On Tuesday and Wednesday we had Kauri athletics. A challenge that I faced was... trying to get over the bar on high jump when is was at one meter because it was really high.

My favorite event was... long jump because I love jumping

Something I am proud of is... that i cleared every bar for high jump on Tuesday.

Reading (AVAILLL)

Something that I have enjoyed so far in AVAILLL is... That we get to watch movies as well as doing learning.

In this activity Mr Rule stopped the movie at a certain point and we had to write down the last word the the person speaking had said. (correctly)

My narrative showed empathy by... Gracie was helping Anna by knowing how she felt.

The thing I enjoyed most about this learning was… That we got to create our own story.

Something I learnt about Myths and Legends was... That when the myths got passed down to others they changed.

• Something I found difficult was mixing the colours

• I would like to try pastel if I did another landscape because … I found blending the water colours hard and I think using pastel would be easier to blend.
• I would like to get better at … drawing the background because I think I did my background a little to big.

With Mrs Marsh I learned about foreground, midground and background in landscapes.

SO WHAT?

For art attack my goal was to produce a piece of art related to our local landscape using either paint, water colour or pastel.

WHAT?

IHBL: to combine different movements in to a dance routine to Treasure by Bruno Mars

         

         

So What?

        I really enjoyed .... learning the dance with dean, because he was really funny.

        My favorite movement / dance was …i really enjoyed learning the robot move.

        I found … the most challenging move was the spot turn in the cha cha

        What I enjoyed most about Dean’s teaching was … he was really funny.

        I feel very confident with the dance routines we learned.

        I was able pick up the different dance routines easily.

        I found remembering the correct sequence for the dance routines easy
